"Formal Complaint I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an unresolved issue with my homeowner’s insurance policy, managed by State Farm Insurance and overseen by agent Roberto Martinez. Background: Five years ago (Date of loss: February 8, 2021), my home, suffered water damage due to a faulty plumbing fixture connected to my refrigerator. I promptly filed a claim with State Farm Insurance. In 2022, it was determined that I, as the consumer, was not at fault for the incident. Ongoing Issue: Despite the finding that I was not at fault, my claim history continues to reflect this event, resulting in increased insurance premiums. Furthermore, I have not received reimbursement for my $4,157.00 deductible, as stipulated in my contract. Over the years, I have maintained regular contact with your team, but have repeatedly received similar responses and have not seen any progress toward resolving my concerns. ""The way they handled this was the worst. To cut a long story short, they told me that my coverage would be invalid only for that specific day of the accident, the one day I wasn't covered. I had been a customer for 10 years and had never once been late with or missed a payment. This year was the first time my credit card's auto-payment didn't go through because I lost my wallet. So, when I called to make a payment, they spoke to me as if I were the problem, asking why I was paying over the phone. When I tried to call to pay, they wouldn't answer, and even when I left a voicemail, they never called me back. Insurance is something you have for emergencies—like losing your wallet, losing your car keys, or getting into an accident at a funeral or in another state. They didn't take any of those circumstances into account. The agent kept passing the responsibility to the claims office. Despite being a member for over 10 years, I couldn't receive the car insurance benefits. They said I had no coverage for just that single day (the day I had the accident)."only one day."
